CAPP designed its media campaign to increase awareness of teen pregnancy
and encourage parents to discuss issues of teen pregnancy and sexuality
with their children. Radio and television advertisements highlight the
consequences of teen pregnancy and the need for open communication between
parent and child about sexuality and pregnancy prevention. These spots
also encourage parents to request and use the free Family
Connections guidebooks to help them talk to their children about
sexuality issues. Read more about Family
Connections and Adagio Health's parent
education efforts.
In January 2001, CAPP launched a new radio campaign featuring 60-second ads targeting teens and adults. These ads illustrate that teen pregnancy impacts all segments of the community. The campaign is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
