Adagio Health staff members have developed training programs on a variety of health issues, from HIV/AIDS prevention to healthy nutrition to youth development and sexuality education. In addition, Adagio Health can design health-related programs according to your organization's needs.

HIV/AIDS Prevention

Adagio Health's Department of Applied Research has developed and field-tested a package of "stages of change"-based HIV prevention materials for use by other organizations. The package includes training materials in street outreach, role model story development, and more. Adagio Health staff members work with agencies interested in using the package to achieve an effective balance between maintaining core elements and tailoring the program to local needs. Staff address implementation concerns, answer questions, and offer advice. On-site visits, phone support, and booster training sessions are available. Read more about Adagio Health's HIV/AIDS prevention program.

Healthy Nutrition

Adagio Health's registered dietitians provide reliable, objective nutrition information. Adagio Health dietitians offer individual nutrition counseling sessions and group workshops on a variety of health concerns, including: aging, allergies, cancer and chemotherapy, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, sports nutrition, vegetarianism, and weight control. Youth Development and Sexuality Education

The Center for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention provides professional training in youth development and sexuality issues to hundreds of teachers and service providers throughout western Pennsylvania each year. CAPP has developed training programs that focus on a variety of topics related to adolescents and youth development, including:

  • how to train parents to talk with their children
