Nutrition Counseling

Adagio Health's registered dietitians provide reliable, objective nutrition information. They separate the fact from the fads and the healthy meals from the dangerous diets. They translate the latest scientific findings into easy-to-understand nutrition information, whether delivering the information during an individual nutrition counseling session or during a group workshop.

Registered dietitians have completed a minimum of four years of education and training in dietetics (or a related area) at an accredited college or university and have demonstrated their knowledge through successful completion of a credentialing exam. Many have earned advanced degrees. Registered dietitians participate in continuing education courses to stay current with the latest developments in nutrition.

Adagio Health dietitians offer professional nutrition counseling related to a wide variety of health concerns, including:

  • aging
  • allergies
  • cancer and chemotherapy
  • cardiovascular disease and hypertension
  • diabetes
  • digestive disorders
  • eating disorders
  • general nutrition and wellness
  • HIV/AIDS
  • home health
  • maternal nutrition
  • pediatric nutrition
  • renal health (kidneys, dialysis)
  • sports nutrition
  • vegetarianism
  • weight control

In addition, they provide information about product development and food labeling, and restaurant and food service management.

Adagio Health dietitians provide individualized services. They develop nutrition care plans for people with acute and long-term illnesses and provide counseling in health promotion and disease prevention. They provide follow-up and support as individuals adapt to their nutrition plans.
